Small Block Chevy E36. Built In Six Short Weeks.

With the 700r4 did you have any issues with the vacuum kickdown? I was kinda curious how a 700r4 would handle sporty driving/ need for a quick downshift.

That being said, this thing is absolute tits dude.

I never got the kickdown to work right with the 700r4. The car was lifeless with that, and it was yanked for the t5 almost immediately after Bimmerfest.

Occasionally I feel that I owe an update on this car.


I got a taste of drifting in the car this fall and have fallen in love with the sport and the car performs well with it's torquey V8.

December 7-8 you can find me at Summit Point for their season closing 200 Drifters of December event.

The car will look similar but have a much higher ride height and the rear wheels will change multiple times throughout the weekend.

If all goes well there the interior comes out, a proper roll cage will be added and wider wheels with flares are planned.

The pretty shaved bay will likely become a dirty mess and the fine line of street legality will be crossed to the point of this car not likely seeing public roads very often.

I didn't know there was build thread for this. I seen it a while back on A Google image search. It's too sick. When I had my E36, it actually had me wanting to drop a small block in it. Then I ended up wrecking, unfortunately. Then picked up something with a small block in it. Great build, this thing is awesome.

also wish that the air cleaner would have fit under the hood, but hey, we gotta play the cards we're dealt right? looks great man! wish i could do something like this! maybe one day.

were you trying to sell those wheels on instagram? the ones that are on the car in the recent pics.

I actually found a way to fit it under the hood, but the hole has become a strong characteristic of the car so I decided to keep it as is.

The wheels are for sale $1k firm. No need to sell them so I'm no negotiable on that at all. People constantly ask about them so I put the number out there.

Well, I was bored of the red and decided it was time for a scoop and some subtly wider fenders to go with the muscle car grunt.

I hope to have this all wrapped up and repainted in a few weeks!
