    Tiny bit of progress today

Probably going to move the rabbit out of the garage tomorrow. Buddie's e30 is coming in for an M50 swap:

That's the plan. Charcoal/emissions stuff is removed, carbs will replace all the CIS bull shit, brake booster is removed and I'm running a vacuum advance saab distributor to delete the ignition control unit. Should be a fairly empty bay...gunna have to trim down a lot of wiring.

Back from the dead with only minor updates. I ran out of money and never did end up buying those keizers so I've decided to refinish my exims. The other week I grabbed a used set of 175/60r13's. As much as I'd like a wide 13/14 to run some stretch, it's just not in the budget.

The wheels are 13x6 et13 so it should still look okay. Tire's should be flush.

Trying out a colour. Matches the engine block...

I've also started to prep the front end for paint. Doing it right this time and will be spraying everything from the firewall forward. After pulling the passenger side fender, I was reminded of how hack this car was previously put together There was putty wedged between the rad support and where the fender sits and the expansion tank was held on by foam and electrical wire tied in knots... I'm going to delete the expansion tank for now but keep the mounts in case I need them in the future.

Started by scraping the big globs of sealant/coating off. I'll get hit the rest with a wire brush.

A buddy helped weld the new quick release spline to my steering column.

I tied a seatbelt to the latch of an upside down car hood, threw the entire motor, some extra manifolds, and more onto the hood and dragged that bitch outta there $50 engines FTW

Haha, nice to hear what you can get for such a small amount of money! 50€ wont get you shit in Germany though we have shit tons of old passats and golfs...
Anyways, except for the carbs my buddy's not running anything too special and it still runs good. He's got different cams, lighened flywheel, no cat, bigger exhaust and some other minor stuff for reliability. The set-up's been lasting for the past for years without a single problem and that thing gets driven hard.
At least the sound of your engine will be badass im sure
