now for the interior to come out again in preparation..

Also might have found the next DD. nothing like I was ever expecting although I have always had a soft spot for these cars. If I pick it up this weekend, a new build thread will surface for the new DD
Nice. Can we get a hint as to what it's going to be?

Just let me know whenever you plan on taking it out and I'll come up. I'm actually about to be in the market for a twin turbo soon. But I'll offer up taking a gopro video for a ride haha.

That could definitely be arranged. Unfortunately the car is now "away" for the winter, but it will be out soon enough. The plan next year is to enjoy it. The projects will constantly be happening, but i definitely do want to drive her more.

And yeah, I need a few cruising videos. My buddy actually bought a camera drone, and I was figuring we would get a few go pros, and shoot the cars cruising through the area. I dont think we have ever had the group of cars all out at once. Mostly because we all own more cars then we can drive at once, but I guess that can be figured out..

Finally decided that the streets were semi clean enough from the storm to pull her out for the official cleaning before winter. And more importantly, a nice cruise and shakedown to see how all the work so far has gone..
cage is excellent. Stiffened up the chassis quite a bit, and its even more of a blast to drive hard. Well I mean it was already pretty damn (ridiculously) stiff to begin with, but the newly added rigidity is spectacular. She seems even more planted then before, feeling more and more like a go kart.. Very happy to say the least. One downside is the new blind spot out my rear view, but i will get used to it. Again, already a super hard car in terms of blind spots and super low angle glass, so nothings a shocker.
Funny that the "winter projects" are mostly complete before actual winter starts, but this is a much better feeling then the 2011 winter being "finished" almost 9 months late. haha
gave her a nice thorough scrubbing, interior is perfect, exterior now up to par for some detailing, put her back on dollies in the garage, and shes basically now ready to be prepped for the winter. Each wheel will come off one night and be detailed, waxed, and be ready to go back on. Brakes and suspension will be removed and cleaned, Engine bay is already done, motor is now all ready for a winter of sitting..

The truth is that I scaled back the projects, as I am trying to keep the winters work on her to a minimum so i can focus on the future house purchase and the next project which will sit alongside the Z when I find a new house and build a garage. Already on the search for the project.... '69 911 shell, but thats all I will speak of about the details of the plan for this build.

Got word that I am building a new set of wheels for the M3, something truly special if all goes well. The mustang project is almost ready to go, and I decided that it will be going back to my uncle as I do not want it. The e21 is once again running well, and the interior work shall commence this winter and hopefully be completed for next season. Also needs a new full exhaust which hopefully will be all custom and something to set things off on that body that currently drags exhaust.
The Z will get a little paint on the cage, a slight bit more interior work, a possible wheel update (lots of complexity here) in addition to the details I have yet to speak about that are now complete.

Oh and about 10 sets of wheels being built if not more, among some other interesting projects I am commissioning on the spinFAB side of things.. At this moment I am not taking on any new completely custom one offs, as I have a few lined up at the moment that will require a ton of time on my end. With that said, if something truly does fit the sensibilities of spinfab or the wheel snobs, I am all ears..

Funny, I like how it has a champagne look to it, moreso then the white. Ive been contemplating moving all the whites to a slightly more champagne color too a few times before.

so at this point, its down to two serious contenders. white pearl to go with the scheme, and the blackened steel that i will test out if all goes well this weekend

anytime, just wanted to help out a bit glad you like it

That champagne color is excellent. Still pops, but on a much cleaner level.

I think if you designed a wide body kit for this car, it would be so sexy.

Thank you. Going to test out my interpretation of #4 this weekend.. Obviously in the actual blackening process, they typically heat the metal to a temp above 200degrees and then use many different formulations including certain waxes or oils to get the achieved look. Since its a roll cage and its now part of the car, heating to these temps is not an option.

in this case, I am going to brush the entire surface and attempt to mix a tinted clear so you get that effect. it will show the brush marks, have a flat finish, and will have a charcoal look. Pics to come.

    Definitely vote for #4.
This car is so immaculate, and not showy at all. It's mind-blowing in it's engineering and execution, and never seemed like one of those cars that tried to stand out by being loud.
Plus, your interior looks so OEM++++++++++++ that I think black brushed would be the way to accentuate that.
But you have yet to make a decision that didn't impress, so just my 0.02.
