  • The fronts still need to be coated, and I'll be making some tweaks to the shape (45s on the top corners to smooth them out a bit), but here's the first set of pre-production mudflaps.

These are "mediums", and would be about 7" off the ground on a normal Focus in the front. Yes, my car drags them on uneven surfaces.

I most certainly would not. I'm willing to take the hit 4 months out of the year. The car's going to have stretched Blizzaks on it, I might as well go all out.

Just to clarify: These are most certainly NOT staying on during the spring, summer, and fall. I don't think this is a rally car, so I intend to stop pretending it is as soon as the hand brake stops being a "slide button".

Took an expensive ($130) trip to Airgas Welding Supply in preparation for stuff/things which will be significant in this thread.

                -Tillman TIG gloves
-Radnor 2% ceriated tunsten electrodes, 3/32"x9". (TIG) The box is normally $90, I got it for $50. No sales, just good connections.
                -Radnor 3/32" collets (TIG)
                -Radnor 3/32" collet bodies (TIG)
                -Radnor #9x17 argon cups (TIG)
-Welco "Kleen Green" tip gel (MIG). If you don't have this for your MIG welder, you need to step your game up. Even for welders that are used strictly for tacking (like ours), it cuts down on slatter buildup immensely and greatly increases the lifespan of your MIG tips.

Overall, that's not much product for my $130, but I only use the very best.

                • Got these with the tires for $150. Not bad, methinks. They'll be getting the spare X-Ice2s I have for the rest of the season, then a set of 195/45/16s for daily use for the rest of the time I have them. I will have the Centerlines for meaty tires and auto-x. I want to have these so I can play around with spacers and get the fenders perfected over time.

                  Info/Specs
                  Borbet Type B
                  16x7.5 et35

The car had just been lowered off the jack and had not been moved when these pictures were taken. It is much lower than it appears in these pics.

                  Better pics tomorrow.

                      • I think meat stance is the way to go on your car.

                        • +2 on meat stance. Although I want to see this thing tucking tire. It has coils, use them.

I will be doing that with the Centerlines. I got these to experiment with flush. <3 MeatStance.

The pics are sheet, but it's tucking about .5"-.75". It's not as much as I would like, but until the front corner gets fixed, this is as low as I can go
