BITCH ASS: A Build of Average Proportions and Modest Income
1. Picked up a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter.
2. Debating on wheels: I'm looking at Borbet Type Es in 16x7.5. I want to run at least 8j. Does S/W feel Type Es are worth widening?
Some shots from H2Oi, as well as pictures of my gauges since the surround has been flocked.
Just after arrival:
I miss OCMD
A little piece of Solo-related history. If anyone remembers my first feature article "Work of Rat", this is the small business that the owner of that awesome white 242 runs out of his garage:
My view of the gauges. (Dirty steering column cover is dirty):
Semi-artsy phone shot:
And finally, the shifter. I need to trim the boot down, it's driving me insane! That's the factory knob, BTW. It does need to be replaced, though, the stitches have lost some of their color.
Thanks! It's getting there, little by little. Do you like your ST? I think they're terrific little buggers.
to be honest, i love it haha. I had a 2002 mustang GT before, but wanted something with better mileage. i went to the dealership to look at a chrysler 300C but it was being sold RIGHT as i walked in. I went outside to leave and saw the ST on the way back to the mustang, and took it for a test drive. its not as fast as my mustang was, but its definitely quick. and it handles sooooo damn good. its perfect for a peppy, cheap to operate daily driver. or for somethign to mod haha
Mine serves both purposes. It will be getting a major build once I'm out of school, but a peppy daily will do me just fine until I am out of Uni.
Also: I LOVE the fact that it can be pretty much disassembled with a flathead, a phillips, a 10mm, a 12mm, a15mm, and an 18mm. So much fun, so easy to work on, and so cheap to buy/operate. The perfect car!

Alright, I was going to keep it secret, but the new wheels are very "meh" here on S/W, so I don't want to disappoint.
Here they are:
Final measurements will be 16x8.5 et43, though I may need a small spacer to clear the struts up front.
Now, the question is color for the centers....
Choice #1 (current front runner):
Toreador Red
Choice #2:
Liquid Grey
Choice #3:
Though I'd like to avoid black, this color is just so damn sexy...
Tuxedo Black
Choice #4:
Dirt Brown
Yes, they are all factory Ford colors, that's what I like to do with the entire build on my car. I keep things subtle, and I like to pay homage to other Ford products if I can. So, what do you think? PLEASE POST AN ANSWER IF YOU READ THIS!
