So among all the boring engine stuff and bad news some exciting stuff came in the mail today!

These bags are tiny! Which is exactly what I need. I posted a pic of me holding one so you can see how small they are. I had to buy new fittings since these bags are 1/8" port and sadly the fittings won't come until tomorrow. I might try and get the bags in today but I need to buy some stuff first.

Also is it normal for the bottom of a sleeve bag to just have a nub that sits in a hole and isn't secured?

If anyone is interested I am selling the bags since they aren't going to work. I had four to start with but sold two. I still have the two that I test fitted in the car.

Forgot to mention that I got my new lifters. I installed them and adjusted the valves twice only to have the engine running the same. I think I have something else going on in the head. I am going to do a compression test soon to see if I could possibly have a burned valve or something like that.

So I took all these photos when I installed the rear bags so I figured I may as well post them, even though I promptly took the bags back out. The car raised up really high but only went about 1/2" lower than stock if even that much. I though about ways I could modify the car to lose some inches and just decided that cutting up the car wasn't worth it and wouldn't get me where I wanted to be. So I ordered some sleeve style bags that should lay this thing out. I also should be able to use the same brackets just modify them a little.

anyway I'll shut up and here's the photos.

So I was getting bad performance and had what sounded like a rocker arm rattle at high RPM. I figured I would just adjust the valves and get rid of the rattling. Well come to find out the hydraulic lifters that were new when the motor was built 10,000 miles ago are failing. You can see in the photos that the hydraulic inserts are working their way through the cap. To make matters worse I realized while I was in there that they guy that assembled the engine when we did the rebuild put all the rocker bearings in upside down. I'm not entirely sure yet but I might just use the lifters from my old motor. I know you're are not supposed to do that but we'll see. I really **** cheap parts.
