After driving Aron's e28 tonight, I want one even more. There are lots of reasons everyone has one. Haha My next daily will most likely be one.

So I have been away for a while but there is a good explanation. My girlfriend was getting sick of me not having a car and so was I. I started telling all my friends that I was now looking for a cheap reliable daily driver and it would be nice to have something that didn't look totally horrid. One of my friends suggested that I get an e28. Now, I didn't know that they came in anything other than a 3.3 or 3.5 liter. So when my friend told me about the 528e I immediately started looking for them.

Long story short I cashed in some savings bonds and pick up my new daily. It's a 1987 528e that has never really left Port Townsend until I bought it. It's got 245,000 miles and runs like a top. I just picked up the air dam last night and fitted some vintage GE spots. Today I replaced the timing belt and water pump. I have to say that I love this car already.

Haha thanks. This is the newest car that I have ever owned. It goes like this in order of ownership:

    1) 1971 Opel Gt
    2) 1973 Opel Gt
    3) 1972 Datsun 1200 Coupe
    4) 1974 Opel Manta Rallye

The first two Opels were both wrecked by my sister and the Datsun was Slammed modified and everything else then sold to a guy in Canada to buy my dream car which is the Manta.

I guess you could say I am addicted to old things. I'm going to boast my collection here for a bit. It is my thread after all lol.

    I also own:

    1978 Baretta 38
75cc Polini kit, Leo Vince pipe, 16" Mag wheels, Custom clip on handlebars
    1978 Baretta 38
Proma mini circuit pipe, drilled carb, converted to top tank, custom seat, treats clip on
    bars.
    1990's Raleigh Technium
    Converted to fixed gear
    1960's or 70's Amica 20" folding bike
Converted to fixed gear, custom front disk brake, converted to cotterless cranks
    1950's Kids western flyer
Converted to a muscle bike with a solid rear slick, stick shifter, moped handlebars,
    speedo
That's all I can think of right now as far as transport vehicles. I also have a small collection of 35mm film cameras, and many bikes that are not complete or just not worth listing.

I feel like this information is still relevant because a build thread is not just about the car but also the person behind the build and a lot of this explains who I am.

I'll get some photos of these things here in a bit.

I know now that the rear is almost done I am itching to get working on the front. Sadly I have to put money towards the engine at the moment so I can actually drive it. It is after all my daily.
