Last night I got the steering fully connected with the 2:1 quickener in line along with my new Sweet Mfg. u-joints and Sweet Mfg. collapsible steering column. So far there is zero slop with this setup. Everything clears the header and framerail with plenty of clearance along with no harsh angles on any of the u-joints.
Once I get started on the sheetmetal i'll make a panel to close of the cockpit from the bay around the quickener

My Momo wheel my ex bought me last year, along with my Sweet Mfg. splined disconnect and Pro-Am adapter.

I was able to machine the oem shaft in the lathe and use the stock lower u-joint. The machined shaft was able to fit snug inside of the 3/4" .125 DOM tubing I used for the smaller shaft, and i machined a chamfer on both edges so I could fill the valley with the wirefeed, came out pretty well.

Heres the bracket I made that the steering quickener mounts to. I used 1/8" thick 1.5x1.5 angle iron and got a little artsy with it on the band saw and tubing notcher table. It also doubles as a loadplate welded directly on the framerail. This should be plenty strong, and there is no issue with clearance issues at lock.

Not sure what I'm going to get done next, thinking of getting the GTO differential front fully mounted and tie it into the harness bar.

Last night we got the throttle pedal mount finished completely.
The biggest was that we got the front pickup of the GTO differential fully boxed into the chassis around the tunnel, and I'm pretty happy with the results. The welds arent the best I've ever seen, but its really difficult to weld thicker sheetmetal to the paper thin shell without burning through it.

Throttle Pedal. Not sure If I mentioned it before but I'm using the stock GM throttle by wire system. I'm told it has better throttle response than a cable.
I used a piece of 2" U-channel that I had left over for this. This is the same material I used for the radiator's top mount.

This afternoon I'm going to buy some dry ice and get the rest of the sound deadening out of the rear area in front of the fuel cell.

Tomorrow Im going to machine the rear trailing arm bushings and front LCA bushings out of delrin, with a 5/8" diameter .125 wall inner bushing. I plan on upgrading all the pivots to 1/2" Grade 8 bolts and ditch the oem metric stuff for simplicity. Some things will have to remain metric, however.
