You gotta test fit them on your car, just to see what they'd look like.
I'll buy some cheap shitty x108 > xChevyTruck adapters at some point just to see. Ideally I wanna get like a 940 sedan to rip skids in and throw them on.
Turns out the 16" set of wheels I haven aren't 8.5" wide, rather 8". Found this out after setting the 15's next to the 16's and they looked like this:
...sure enough, after putting a tape measure across both of them, they're 9" from outside lip to outside lip. No big deal, just good to know.
Also, the adapters I've been using to test the 16" wheels, which I thought were 1" adapters, are actually 1.25" adapters. Found that out after trying to space my current front wheels out an inch to see if that tire would clear the fender, and there were some of the original studs sitting proud of the spacer...something that didn't happen with the adapter. However, I think that because the wheel just get pushed into the factory studs and not all the way to the spacer, it may have simulated the 32mm of the adapter and will work..who knows!

Nothing has gotten done on this because June and July are months I spend going to the racetracks to watch sportscars. August SHOULD see tires bought for the 16" wheels and the coilovers finished up.
Pictures from a few of the events I've been to this year.
