Thank the stupid huge front brakes(11.3" stock rotors) and small dropout(13.1") on my wheels for it not flying off.

          • Came across a great eBay add today for a 740SE.

One of the photo's is this one, and I'm happy to see that the generic auto parts store foglamps will fit into the OEM foglight holes...as those are NLA and near impossible to find.

            I'll probably run yellow fogs.

            • Nice Volvo, but please don't ruin it/rice it up with things mentioned on page 7.

I like old square-ish stations. I was looking for a 244 station for a while, but since they are getting pretty rare, I got me an '89 Mercedes-Benz S124 (which I also really like).

I like the old-school racer look it has a bit (with those wheels). You should put on Euro corners (not the white ones, amber FTW), but keep the US-headlights, clean them up a bit and maybe make the middle ones yellow.

Imo, I'd change the rear lights back to the originals, or smoke the white parts of the current ones.

              I like this pic btw:

Going with the euro lights isn't just a styling thing...the 9004's that come in the US lights are fucking awful. So as well as it being a styling upgrade, the euro lights are also a safety upgrade as well.

borrowing a set of e36 fogs from a buddy of mine to see if they'll fit in the new bumper.

                            • test fitted the front bumper...im going to need to remove the actual impact bar as the bumper is about 1" too far forward with it on.

                              • Impact bar? By that you mean the big aluminium bar behind the bumper cover?
You could get it to fit anyway. The thing that is off is the "shock absorbers" (bumper brackets) behind the aluminium bar.
They are too long on your car. If you remove them and instead mount the shorter ones from a 940 without fogs (or a 740 -90) it will fit with the bar still in place.

Maybe you knew already, but i thought I'd throw it in here anyway just in case.

Get them from a car that looks like this:
