Just red through the whole thread, great work man. You were soooo close to finishing and bam, engine rebuild... Good luck with that, don't loose your motivation Car looks great
You may have answered this but is there any more info on the clutch slave and master setup you used I'm getting close to finishing my 1jz e30 swap and will be approaching this issue soon. All I found you mention is using a smaller master and making a bracket.
Your build looks great BTW!

Just caught up on this. So awesome! Wish I had the time/patience/money to do a swap like this but it's taking me long enough to just do coilovers and wheels.

This is my favourite E30 at the moment. Continue.

this setup had too much pedal play no matter how I worked it, and I decided to go a different route. I am switching to manual brakes and a wilwood pedal setup...I would advise against the master slave setup for safety reasons..thanks
I know this thread is old but hopefully euro nut see's this and answers or anyone else who knows, Im getting a 84 318i same car you started with and its going to be my first e30 build, Its starting condition is a little better off i just wanted to ask what bumpers you were using when you got the bodywork finished and if those bumpers took any special brackets or mounts to fit on or if it fit perfectly or if it was bumpers made to fit a 318i anyways yeah what bumpers please?
I am pretty sure they are FL (88- ) Euro bumpers both front and rear. Not sure if they need any other other mounting hardware than what is already on the car... They came standard on my -91 ...
I bought an IX to do this swap with. Not knowing how different they were.. Do you know of anyway to get it to work with the front end or to swap to the IS front end
