  • E30 "Mad tyte jdm" 1JZ-GTE build

Ok guys, I joined the forum a little while ago so i figured i should share my build.

I bought an e30 the middle of the fall and quickly moved it into the shop for a swap...
Without further delay here are some pictures of the car when I bought it...

After we got the shop the work began:

    Then out came the motor

then i bought another "new" motor as i was gettin suspicious of the first one i bought. (not a big loss, cheap parts motor)

Next i purchased an intercooler from a friend that no longer had any use for it

had to modify the rad support a bit to get it to fit behind the bumper

        test fit the new motor

then i started working on the motor a bit
First cleaning it up a bit (disregard the filter)

Then replacing the oil pump, timing belt, water pump, themostat, and accessory pulleys.

this brings me to where i'm at currently. I have my wiring sent to away to have a conversion harness made and untill I get that back the motor is waiting, almost ready to go in.
Here are some more parts that have arrived while I wait.
ACT xtreme 6 puck clutch and pressure plate and new starter.

boost guage (made the trim piece to mount it.)

and my swap mounts (which have since been painted met. grey and mounted to the engine.

I have also ordered 3/8" stainless hardline for my fuel lines, and some parts for a custom braking system due to little to no room for a booster (at least not under the hood )

There's a place in tailand making the mounts (not to mention just about every other part you would need for the conversion). It's called k-conversions or something along those lines. Shipping costs kill tho, so i only bought my mounts from them.

looks like a good start. I was gonna ask about the mounts too lol. definitely will be watching this.

btw, nice job with the white board todo list on the windshield. I do the same exact thing when im in the middle of a big job
