Had to register just to tell you how god damn inspirational you are!

How much fab/welding/painting experience did you have prior to starting this project? Just trying to decide if I can EVER attempt something like this, or if I should just end myself now.

I had a G35 prior to this, which is what got me into modifying shit. I painted that sucker in the garage when I was 18 and never looked back.

Anyone can do these things with the right amount of patience and willingness to learn. It's like anything else I guess

Heist, from a sunny South Africa, I take my hat off to you and salute...what you have taken on and accomplished is truly amazing for someone that has had no real prior experience before tackling a job such as this beautiful example of a 2002!

Your skills have improved majorly....the part that I really admire is the section where you put your fender flares on, and decided to rip them off and do them all over...that my friend, takes guts and you got the glory....

Thanks everyone! Finally made my way to Ireland engineering, picked up some new parts to finish up the front subframe and start my bumper project

Is that metal T you welded up a bumper bracket of sorts?
Did you end up getting a new sway bar from IE with a dip in it to make room for the oil pan?

deutschman- Yep. Going to glass it in and have it slip into the center brace for the trunk. I'm actually just using the normal one (swaybar IE). It clears by a few mm's along with the track rod.

Coming along excellently, I can't wait to see this all put together. The hardtail project is amazing too, I want one so bad. Paintwork on the '02 is outstanding, its so blindingly white. I love it!

managed to strip the pivot arm on the steering box trying to get it free today, which really sucks.Also, the pedal box looks like it's going to need to be cut up one last time tomorrow to clear the frame, if not I'm going to make a little notch. Working at all the body parts getting ready for paint...
