did some work yesterday on the Z, test fittingz and to see if everything was mechanically sound, so let it run for a bit too to makesure it doesnt overheat etc etc, and I was surprised everything was working like a new car  just means I gotta get my wheels etc etc sorted and insure the beast as its MOT'd and Taxed anyway
Gaz ftw! they custom made the rear coilies for me, along with building the whole coilover they refurbed the top mounts, everything else they used was brand new parts. and as you can notice the they have rebound adjustment which means they made me these Gold Class ones for no extra cost, this is KW terrority with one-off custom jobby, I gotsta love 'em  bless 'em they even put brand new bushes and I never even asked for that  ^_^
painfully drove the car out the garage with major coilies to wheel foulage so I can start work on the rear
removed the speaker cover and speakers and cracking on the top mounts, but its very fiddly! need one of those bendy extension things or cut the speaker mounts(I iz avoiding to do that)
new Electro/De-fog heated side mirror, its quite stupidly expensive through the dealers
Ebay ftw! ^_^
these are just fronts ones they custom made, but cause the car is back of the garage, gonna send the rear ones after I put these on and swing the car around
finally after on and off working on the car for a few days, removed the struts which were a mission!! <_<
they are finally off using all kinda sh*t and home made 17mm 30" spanner
front struts being removed so can be sent off to Gaz, they are going to use these to make custom one off coilovers for this car, coilovers for Z31 were never available
rear system is a bit different, its a semi-trailarm(sumat like that), so means the damper and springs are seperate, but when the coilover goes on, the original divorced spring will be removed.
anyways pics as follows, my mate Adam workin on the car whilst I took pics........ and supervised  :
laptop isnt there for some re-map lol, reading through internet tutorial guide
and I must say all thanks to my home made 17mm spanner stuck inside a 30" adjustable hoover pipe
building a Nissan 300zx(Z31), its a rare 2 seater short-wheel base(SWB) model, apparently its 1 of 2 in the country to be a SWB Auto Turbo.
got the car late last year and building it has been a lil painful cause most parts including coilovers all had to be custom made as hardly any aftermarket part is available off the shelf
anyways I'll let the pics do the talking, pics are from when I got it till date
this is how it was bought
Mate came down with his handy polishing gear to spark up the beast, as seen in earlier pics paint is battered
first order was to see if we can revive the paint so I can prioritise on where to be spending the cash on the car
Paint has come out well, car looks ok 10-15 feet away lol, the bumper and bonnet can defo do with a respray, other than that all the other body panels were straight and cool with no major fade
hopefully gonna start on the interior soon, get it cleaned and get rid of all the huge spiders
