  • Haha, just cut the strut towers where the control arms are hitting so that they can come up into the engine bay.
If you don't have stiff enough spring rates or extended top hats, it'll blow your struts waaay quicker, so keep that in mind!

Edit: Kielan beat me to it! Haha

A lot of people do this, and then paint the bay, and it looks OEM. I'd go this route if you want the lows.

Haha, thanks a lot! I love how the brace looks. That rear shot is the background on my phone!
I SHOULD have the car road bound this weekend, as long as it isn't raining or tornadoing anymore, so I'm pretty excited. I've had 2 damaged trim pieces come in so far, but I can still put it all together while I sort that out with UPS.

And yeah, just cap off the strut towers after you cut them. There's TONS of examples around. You'll be able to shut your hood!

                • No sway bar! I have a VX, so it didn't have any sway bars to start with. Now I just have a mean ass rear sway bar! Haha

                    • It's baaack. And ALMOST ready for action.
Hopefully I'll have time to mount the new rear tires at work today, and it's looking like I may need a new main relay. Oh well!

Ugh, FINALLY got home from work, where I did, indeed, have time to get my new tires on my rears. I expected it to take FOREVER (it is a 195 on a 10" wheel, after all), but I got the first one on the first try, and the second one on the second try. Haha
Now I'll try to muster up the energy to put them on the car...

                            • Here's a couple of quick shots. Still just a bit of fine tuning and cleaning up to do, but it's pretty much done! It feels crazy to drive it again.

                              • It looks so much different. I went back a couple of pages to make out the differences. It SO much more clean now. I have to say though that the chalkboard hood did give it a little style, it also looks like you de-tinted the side markers or something? It looks so much cleaner now though, good work bro.
