Just go the 201 or 124 route with some proper springs/suspension mods. You wont regret it
E280, E320 have engine loom troubles. So check if the engine loom has been replaced. Nicest engines because of full EFI
300E 12v is fine, but eat camshafts if not serviced well.
300E 24v tend to blow headgaskets at high mileages. So check if it has been replaced in the past. Best performing six for the 124 chassis (apart from tuner versions like AMG en Brabus).
260E, same as 300 12V, but then quite a bit slower
230E, same speed as 260 but without the 6-potter's torque (2.3 8v)
E200/200E, stay away. Slow junk.
E220, fine 16 valve engine, reliable, better alternative for both the 260 and 230.
PS: Stock suspension on these cars suck dick when it comes to handling. They start to float at Autobahn speeds.Last edited by loekaaz; 03-01-2016, 10:01 AM.

thought about joining the Benz owners Club lately..
been looking at C230 Kompressors since theyīre cheap and from what iīve heard pretty realiable...but insurance on those is somehow more than on an E46.
