ey tranz or anyone else. any idea on whats a good rockford fosgate sub set up. got 2 pdx amps. a 1000 watt mono and a 1000 5 channel. gunna b using the 5 channel to run my german maestros and the mono for the sub but unsure on whats good and size. gunna be going in a jazz boot/ custom install.

thinking t1 or t2, either couple of 8"'s or 12". any suggesitons?

You have a hatch, so 1 sub will do you plenty with the right amount of power.

Just curious, why do u have a 5 channel amp? sorta like on extra channel gone to waste since you have a mono bloc. coz its 2 chans for front, 2 for rear deck and then 1 spare? LOL

Anyway, for the mono, Rockford Fosky T1, itll do 800RMS and 1600max. Perfect for the amp you have, coz you can genreally push RF gear a lil further. Same sub as i have, but i have 2 =P

1 for you with that much power is more than enough in a hatch, no thick solid rear parcel shelf to stop pressure flow like mine....POS car....feel le basssss...

I reckon a sealed box enclosure would be good, clean and tight sound. But if you want really low freqz n shit, ported/slotted enclosure then.

got a 5 channel cause i ran my whole system off it. speakers and type r sub but now im upping the sub power and size so bought a mono to just run the sub.

Yeah was thinking a t1 12" reverse mount on a ported box but just saw a focal red coil sub. think the polyglass one at freeway. $700 but down from 1k. soooooo tempted!!
