Also on a serious note, I admit to not being an angel when it comes to driving on the street but there's really no need to attempt to show off just because your car is rwd and turbocharged and you think your hectic. Especially so when there's a well organised meet that cops have just left!

There was close to 10 legitimate 'drift' cars at the meet, all of which behaved, really don't understand what is achieved by showing how close you can come to collecting a pole or oncoming traffic. I personally am all for a more private meet, or at least one that is strict in taking down rego's/licenses and monitors peoples behaviour on the way out (not that someone should need to be stuck with that job!).

And I am more than happy to stand there and take it in turns with people to inform people leaving about not doing skids.
Lesson learnt for next time. All of which will make the next one bigger and better than the last.
+1 to remind noobs at the exit if the rip a skid we got their rego down for the police

such a shame those idiots wrecked such an awesome meet. and pretty sure that bloody grey/silver s15 nearly head on collided with the car on the other side of the road when being a sik kent

no skids for me in my Auto 2-Tonne Tank.

I had to laugh at a few people who looked at me upon exit like "ohh this is gonna be good" considering it basically scrapes rail on flat ground, but i cheated and pumped up the bags

Nice shot there of the s14 and myself both white with eurolines. Suprised there wasnt a whole lot of other cars with them hahah

100% agree with what Oxer has written on previous page. There were countless cars there with both the capability and power to do "mad skids" on exit, myself and all the nissan boys I rolled in with included, but the difference between these cars and those OFFENDING are the driver behind the wheel. Simple etiquette and respect to the organisers, AJ for putting his neck on the line in securing the space for the meet and all the other people attending should be enough to convince people to behave. Not to mention respect for other road users who use Fairbank Rd in their commuting.

It's really dissappointing to see people act stupidly in this manner.

I cast my mind back to the 1st stanceworks meet Ox held - amazing day. great company, great memories and whilst it was a lot smaller than yesterday, people enjoyed themselves safely and there was not one bit of trouble. Hopefully we can return to this sort of thing into the future.

Thanks again Ox for yesterday, thanks also to AJ for setting the space up and also providing me with power to set up my gear! Despite the stupid behaviour of a few, it was a great meet, heaps of quality rides and good to see you all and some new faces too. Just unfortunate that some people have blackened the day in some respects.

To add to what goon bag said above, completely agree mate. It is in EVERYONES best interests within the modifying scene to behave sensibly at meets and to show the public that we're not a bunch of idiots. Yet, when at nearly every meet people behave stupidly, its not hard to understand why the public and police generally view "car enthusiasts" as hoons. You can't really blame cops from pulling over every one of us as we pass them by, as much as we **** it and as much as its probably not us who should be blamed, those few dickheads, fk it up for the community as a whole.

Hope we can move on with private/invite only meets - not for exclusivity and alike BS, but for mature, relaxed meets without idiots ruining for those who simply wanna come and hang.

    Word to yo' momma.

that sucks bad, I really really **** people playing up on cruises,
just as a bit of an idea, I organise a lot of stuff on the 31 forum, and I personally make it a point before and during the cruise / meet, that if anyone fucks around I will personally report them to the cops. I just drill it into everyones heads, the way I look at it, it is SO unfair that anyone should cop stick because of people being selfish, especially when the majority had the best intentions for it!
i know that is basically common sense, and with such a large group from heaps of different scenes it is nearly impossible.
hats off though to you oxer, its just such a shame that somefuck it up for the rest. expanding the scene and being responsible is in EVERYONES best interests...

sorry to be a bit of a downer, but this shit busts my balls so bad

Between the rest of us that shot the day, I'm sure we can name every car, Even if some of us missed some cars (Me ), The others would have them.

    Cheers

P.S- I think it should be a thing, No Purple trackies, No entry...

if we did at least we would have the rego and the cars that did and pass them onto the cops and hopefully prevent people doing stupid acts in the future

It's bound to happen no matter what man, it's part of holding big meets. Out of the 3 FYS meets all 3 have had people hooning, I'm just lucky cops didn't get invloved. The last one was going pretty well and noone hooned besides that red s14 ripping a full burnout all the way down the street, but hey what can you do man it is how it is. No matter how private it is unfortuneatly it's just gonna happen

What makes it even worse is because it's on such a main road, when random people go past they see a bunch of cars they tend to hoon it as well.

I mentioned at the start oxer when I came to say hi, alot of people mentioned they were going so I knew word had spread like wild fire.
