Seriously man, move to Melbourne, get on a city/union work site as a plumber and you will be on almost identical pay. Plumbers and sparkies are more or less the same rates these days in Melbourne.

I am pretty sure sparkies in Melbourne get close to double what sparkies make in all other states :/ Union here is strong. But yeah, like you said, they are going to scare away builders and then that will eventually come back and bite us in the ass. Industry here is slow atm but i think that has a lot to do with the Liberals lack of spending compared to Labour, who were throwing money at new projects flat out the last 4 years.

Almost got my E30 up and running mechanically. It'll be drivable after fitting tyres, do an alignment, bleed brakes, change some oil and coolant, repair coolant temp sensor wires. All can be done either at home or work. Still needs TLC with the body/paint. So keen to drive it! Definately going to buy some springs for it as well aye.

Been stinging to drive it since October.
