Now to put the RS's on tonight and see how she sits.

Looking good Seb. What do you mean by stiff, is that when it's aired out? I thought all bagged cars would be like that, isn't it just like sitting on bumpstops? Or do you mean at driving height?
Originally posted by SebastienPeek View PostAt driving height it is incredibly stiff. Take some coilovers for example. You have some play. Take my air struts, there is basically no play whatsoever.
I need to figure out how to adjust dampening settings and what not tonight.
Also, dont compare the ride quality to the legend.Originally posted by anthLucky they didn't come into your house and disrespect your whole family.

as anth said, is your driving height at the top of the travel? Ideal driving height is in the middle, a shock absorber has an ideal range, if you're too high, you will top the shock out. Too low, and you will bottom it out. Both provide uncomfortable driving experiences. the dampener wouldn't make a drastic difference, it just changes the speed of the compression/rebound via the valving.
Also, dont compare the ride quality to the legend.
I'm not sure how I can check the travel, do I adjust the little spannery thing at the bottom of the strut to adjust driving height?
Ah, I understand le dampening now, thanking you!
I have been thinking about how the Legend drove, mine is a shitload stiffer that's for sure. I'll look into the travel thingy as soon as I get home. I haven't adjusted the struts one bit, so not sure exactly what I'm doing at the moment, I just replaced the old with the new and fitted everything up... Will see what I can do tonight!

try driving around at 20psi all round Seb.
I rock 20 in the front for daily driving. life is plush even with the broken control arms and dead bushes ha.
and I dont have commodore spec anymore after driving for a extended period of time aired out in the front on the way back from alburySarcasm is easily calculated on vortex dude. Take 4 parts GLI lip and divide by BBS RS. If you are left with a remainder, subtract it from omgmoarlow. Profit.

I'll give 20psi a go, the manual recommends a minimum of 50, but I have a feeling it is like what Oxer said, the shock is topping out, so need to get under there and adjust I reckon...
Ahaha mad, I need to fix my commo spec quickly. Tonight.

If I was to get another one it'd be either Atlas Grey again, or white, with VY Senator Signature 19s and a 355 stroker / 6spd manual.
I have this pipe dream where one day I'm gonna go and buy all the cars I've owned in the past (not the actual cars, but the same models), and build my ultimate version of each. Never gonna happen, but nice to think about it haha.
