You dont lose any info when you import rom LR to PS.... It converts the file over for you and retains the quality.

I need to start learning photoshop a bit more. I can do some basic stuff in it, not affraid/intimidated by it either just never had a need for it.

If adjustment brushes and gradients are easier on a machine in PS I should prob learn to use them properly and use LR for all but that.

Is there a loss of data going from a RAW file in LR to a psd in PS? Or is the psd file just a container for the RAW file and I still have all the info available from when I shot the image?

I'm also a Lightroom user although I think there's a little Photoshop in this shot:

    Before/After

Only thing I'm not happy with is the horrible reflection on the nose, I'll get round to touching it up some day when I feel I can do it.

Anyone else using LR find it labours a lot once you start using the adjustment brush on more than 1-2 things in the image?

The below image nearly killed my pc, its a pano using 6 raw files. Besided the basic and colour adjustments there's a graduated filter and two area's where I used the adjustment brush - same for all 6 images. This really made the pc stuggle and it took ages to merge them in photoshop and save as a PSD.

    C&C welcome!

I agree with Skrap. Everything looks good, but the lightpole is a bit sore and the shadow also. The sky is a bit too vibrant for my taste, but it's not my picture! So if that's what you were going for then it looks good!

C&C away for me! I love C&C I've been trying new stuff here lately and some i love some i don't, so its nice to see what others think.

    With that said..

I love the shot you posted. i will say that something is off with the way you save the file or export it to photoshop possibly i say that because on my phone the image looks dull and the colors are all off... on my 27in imac everything looks nice. I would have probably gotten rid of the light pole and possible the shadow of the mirror. other than that dud i have no complaints worth complaining about. it looks amazing.

Maybe a little on the bottom, or even just got in tighter.
