Thanks! They've been a lot more active recently so I'm sure I'll be posting lots more pictures of them. Hopefully that means they've just hatched another froglet.

I love your shots man, thats the only reason I posted that you were slacking, Thanks for the update and I need to start making time to start shooting again and learning. What steps did you take to learning, did you read books or just browse online and try new things?

macro shots just got a lot more difficult with the new body. The macro lens doesn't go as far as it used to.

Thanks! I have threads on multiple forums going and I just forgot to update this one I learned by trial and error really. My biggest first leap was finding a photographer and hanging out with him for an evening. You pick up all kinds of tips and tricks that way. Then I mostly just read online. Once you learn how the camera functions (aperture, shutter speed and ISO), you can learn to predict how it will react in different situations. Then it's all practice.

For editing I started out trying to emulate other people's styles and then slowly I combined everything I had learned into my own style. I picked up Scott Kelby's book on Lightroom and that helped tremendously. It breaks down each feature in Lightroom, shows you how it's useful and gives suggestions on when to use it. It's a really helpful book.

I'll keep trying to find a video capturing tool that doesn't eat as much space as FRAPS does.

I wish I could be motivated to shoot one a day. I'll get about 2 sets a week and that's even hard to keep up with sometimes! Keep up the good work, I've been checking back every day! and check out my shots if you want. http://austingrubbs.wordpress.com/

You get used to it. I spend about half an hour of my evening on it, sometimes less. Last night I spent about 10 minutes. If I can manage it with a full time job and family, anybody can do it IMHO.

Depth of field is way too thin, but meh
