A lot of keen photographers on here, so thought I'd just throw this out there.
I've wanted a wider lens for a while now, I have a Canon 40D with the 18-75 standard lens, 50mm f/1.8, and a Peleng 8mm.
I was after something like the Canon 10-22 or Sigma alternative, but just thinking about a prime instead, I've no idea what is really out there or the prices (except the Canon 17mm is it?, for £1900). Around 10mm to 20mm max ideally.
Is it worth looking for a well priced prime? I mean I love the crispness of the 50mm against the standard lens, but this might just be the fact its a kit lens.
These were the original wishlist,
I was swaying towards the Tamron for price reasons.
