I actually have a pretty set work flow. It helps to know what you want the image to look like in your head, before you even take the pictures, but based on the feel I want from the photo, I go through camera raw, and create an initial base edit, contrast, WB, split tones, minor curve work. Then in PS I do curves, color balance, contrast, hue/saturation, and if it needs minor work from there I will tend to it.

really love the way you edit your photos... is it possible to explain some of the main steps you're going through while editing?
i know it's different/unique process for every single pictures, but just some major tips...

I had some requests on another forum for some before and after shots, so I figured I'd post them up here as well.
The one of my E46 is a lot more work than what I usually do to photos, but I really liked the shot so I had to make it into something good.

If you go to my Flickr you can see all of my exif info!Originally posted by JJ. View PostGreat photographs, I've got a lot to learn and this thread is only motivating me more and more!
The only thing is miss is some exif info, would make it easier to learn if I could see which settings you use in different situations!
Kyle as you know the "blurry" background is caused by shooting wide open. All of those photos were either taken at 1.2 or 1.4. That's my style that I've always had with cars and I've seen it work very well with portraits so I carried it over and really like the results.
