Nice shots man, keep it up. As for the models, I had to shoot a series of portraits for a class last semester. It was my first time working with models, but I just asked a few friends if they'd be willing to stop in for a shoot. It was definitely easier knowing the people, and they knew I was just as new to it as they were. I want to do more eventually, but something casual is definitely a great way to fool around and get a feel for it, and it can be pretty fun too.
Always liked your photos. Keep it up. I have the same problem as you, i'm a bit shy when it comes to asking people to take photos of them or their car.
How are you getting on with your 365?
I stopped the 365 a while back, it began to become a task, and I was taking stupid, uninspired pictures. I will have another crack at it eventually, but for right now, I want to really focus on getting better, go out when I want and go take pictures, that's what will allow me to get better.

Just do it, I was nervous as hell on my first model shoot and it ended up being 2 girls. But once your actually doing the shoot and get comfortable with them, it just gets easier.
I sat in on a few shoots before I did my own just to learn and somewhat get the hang of things from a different point of view and it helped out alot.
Definitely going to try and sit in on a few, before I do anything on my own. Hopefully some local guys *cough*Charlie*cough* will let me tag along on a few of their shoots.
I guess I really should post some of my automotive stuff as well.. I am also going to have to get over my shyness if I really want to keep getting better, I really really want to do a shoot with a model, but I'm afriad of producing bad results. But I sure as hell keep practicing.

Being afraid will just keep you from progressing. Post it up - document your progress. Imagine when this thread is on page 500 and you can browse through it and see the improvements you've made.

You're at that stage now where you're starting to find your "eye" and find the intangible things that make images look good. Keep shooting and refine it.
The truck in the snow is pretty kick ass.
You should try introducing some new subject matter to give you some direction... girls, cars, whatever.
I'm just going to use this thread to post some of my pictures. I will keep it up to date. No, before any of you say it, this is not a thread for me to show off, I am doing this so I can get some C&C from you guys about what I can do better, (especially with PP). Let's just keep it civilized.
Here a few of my favorites from recently-ish.

Like I said I'd love to get some C&C. I will post more as time goes on.
