Vic, I would say you're correct with most general lenses and not top tier glass.
I like the new Sigma 85. I also like the 50 1.4. If I was on a budget I'd own both instead of the Canon 1.2s.FlickR

but i agree with above. not any picture will look great with photoshop, a good picture is a good picture regardless of editing. editing is meant to enhance, not to repair.
