I hope you realize that nothing but quality gets featured here, and on a lot of sites now. Of course there are people out there running fake wheels, and this is not going to turn into one of those debates, but you need to come to realize that people are realizing how cheaply they can get their car sitting proper and make it look good. Yes there are a lot of the same cars popping up, but what do you expect. Not everyone has a completely rare car, sure there are a ton of cars out there running CCW LM20's or BBS RS's, but its not just the wheels/fitment that makes the car, its everything else that goes into it, the static ride height, or laying frame on bags, with perfect fitment, a shaved bay, amazing interior. There is a lot more that goes into it than just wheel fitment. While you may think that these cars are all cookie cutter, look at the mod lists on some of them, somethings you don't even think about and they have done it, its not just about the big things but the minor details that give it character.

Sure on forums a lot of people have similar cars, but there is only so much people can do before the once unique content gets to be common place. It seems to me that you are riding your high horse because your car costs a lot and so do the parts for your car. If E60's were cheap, I can almost guarantee that they would be extremely common, and not "rare". Lets think about E28's right now, how often will you see a car like Mikes or Moose's? Not often at all, but you see stanced e28's all over the place.

sorry but i had to rant, my car is getting nowhere with this and plain jane cars keep getting advertised and its very disheartening
Sure, this thread wasn't about you feeling your car deserves a feature....

That is because the "similar styles", get this, look good. That is why there is a whole site dedicated to low cars, with fitted wheels.

Honestly, your argument is unfounded, the featured cars have a bunch of variety, or simply look good. Your car didn't get featured because it sits somewhat high, and the CF/Wheel color isn't to mosts tastes. If it is how YOU wanted, enjoy it!

If many of the forums said it couldnt be done, you probably never asked us, because here at Stanceworks, Anything is possible
        Im with Ox...

Stance is about the whole overall look
Personally, I dont think the car needs to be heavily modified to have "Stance".

I know what you are sayin though..

Lots of cars shown on here, you see alot of, as stated, because people know what those chassis and bodies are capable of.
I enjoy seeing people doing things different. Which it appears you are. Don't winge about features though man. Not everyone can have their time to shine... not matter how much coin they have dropped on their ride...

I am slowly "stancing" my N13 Pulsar. Something I have NEVER seen with decent fitment, or "stanced" for that matter. Im doing it because I like the car, and it is different. not because I want to get featured, (not that I think I ever will) or anyone else likes it.

        Ps.

        Recommended Specs are for Pussies!

Yep. When I ordered the lips for my fikses I had to lie to them that I had a widebody or they refused to do it. I even had to make up measurements of my widebody. lol

Idk why that made me laugh so much.

OP, I really can't say that I've ever seen a car featured that I felt didn't deserve it, especially here on SW. They're not always exactly my style, but I can always understand and appreciate the appeal... hell I usually always end up drooling over them. You need to get some air bags or some (even wider) polished up 19s or 18s and slam and camber the car. Don't do it for us. Do it for yourself because it'll be so dope you won't even give a shit about getting a feature- but then you def would get featured.

The cheaper the car, the more balls the owner usually has to do something drastic with it. Your car is nice, but just looks like a guy with money built a cool daily driver. Personally I like cars that stand out a mile away, but yours, I may or may not even notice it if I saw it on the road.

              QFT.

              Compare a E60 to an E28...

I'd use a sledge hammer to roll the guards on the E28, and probably pay a Micro surgeon to Roll them on the E60 :P

If you bought a car, spent a bunch of money, didn’t get featured, and now your upset then… you’re in it for the wrong reason.

I understand that you also say it’s the same cars you see but I also read that its more about you. (and your sponsors)

Sorry, not trying to be an ass. Im just going based on what I read.
Exactly what I thought when I started reading page 1

Agreed. Too many people are "building" cars for the wrong reasons, looking to get their piece of the pie.

Plus, the reason you see the same cars over and over again is because either: they can fit amazing spec'd wheels, have the fenders for it, the drop for it or they're just popular in general.

I haven't had a feature I don't think, but plenty of people recognize me and/or my car, so that's enough recognition for me. Being humble about it all surpasses ANY "feature" anyone gets.
Your GTI got plenty of features and you whore the Jetta less than that one but it's still one of the only MK4 Jettas on RSs that looks proper

I haven't wanted to jump in on this, but will make one point to our blog:

It's a lot of work to get shoots setup, edit the photos, write the articles and do all this in a timely fashion. It use to be a worthwhile thing to do, but since the Internet blew up with a new blog coming out every other day, it's taken away from the specialness of getting featured, or putting in the work to get the feature done.

We have chosen to combat that by posting less.. In turn, it honors the owner of the car and the photographer / writer who went through the effort of making it happen.

At the end of the day though, we are a community first, that happens to also have a blog. What I love about this community, is the fact that people aren't wrapped up in e-fame.. For the most part, they come to get cues or props from their peers and not just a bunch of random people who aren't building cars in the first place.

We like doing features, and spotlighting cars.. Whether that be 10 E30's in a row.. We don't care. We aren't a magazine concerned about subscriptions or viewership. We like to honor those who are members first as well. We also like posting cars that haven't been posted, as we like to give viewers something different from the 1242557 blogs out there. There really is little politics to it.

But StanceWorks will always be a community that happens to have a blog.. Not the other way around.

Haha Aaron, I'm still waiting to see some shots he took back in May (not of my car), I guess he has issues getting pictures out.

But seriously the kid is always working, I have a ton of respect for him, and what he does, and the quality of his work.

Hey I know how it is, I always have a backlog of pictures I can edit if I'm feeling up to it. No rush for me, car isn't going anywhere and looks very much the same as it did then

I'm fairly confident that if I were to slap a huge cock next to everyone here's lips and said "type one sentence without the word stance in it or chug this dong."

It would be awfully quiet and sticky at your keyboards.
