  • Same stanced cars getting features all the time

Everytime I visit a stance site it always seems to be featuring a evo, s2000, 350z etc etc with the same style stance as the once they featured before

its getting retardedly rare to see cars being stanced that havent been done before (e60 for example) and getting absolutely no features or recognition for it outside of a small thread

its really pissing me off that the uniqueness of stancing is becoming mainstream and owners of various stance sites are perpetuating it by continuing to post whats already be done a thousand times before

if i keep seeing s2000's, wrx's, evo,s etc then im out of this whole stance game doing online postings

sorry but i had to rant, my car is getting nowhere with this and plain jane cars keep getting advertised and its very disheartening

Not to be a douche, but I think your car, specifically, hasn't been featured because it just isn't that appealing. The lack of a lip and the cf pieces make it seem unfinished.

That being said, there are unique cars featured, but you seem to be frustrated for a different reason all together.

im frustrated because the same kinds of cars with the same kinds of stances are getting featured

theres no lip kit because every single e60 owner gets a mtech kit and then they have no stance at all

my point is the stance is what should matter, unique cars that havent been done with stances should be the point of the whole game.

That's cause 95% of E60 owners are of age 55+

Young people own E30's and E34's and E28's (most anything pre-00 German) and sporty jap cars. Sorry but newer Euro cars are just too expensive. Only those with large disposable incomes will be able to stance those E60's and E92's and what not. It's not that no one is trying but that an E30 is a SHITLOAD cheaper to stance than an E92. Considering most of the people on this site are either A in high school/College. or B under 40 with a good enough paying job to do what they love.

understandable but what about my stanced e60? you would think with how hard and expensive it is to stance it, it would have had more exposure than what its had

            expose it more.....

More people knowing your car is how the OWNER markets himself and/or his car. Go to more shows, BIG local, region, national meets. Send a PM to one of the admins/mods to have a feature on your car. Don't complain about what hasn't been done. STFU and get it done....DO WORK

I'll be honest with you. Your car...it looks stock with wheels. Do something to make it stand out and be noticed. bag it.... Go get some AC Schnitzer/Alpina/other parts for the body, do something cool to the interior. CF just looks like a regular car. Nothing I see is special to make me notice it. Honestly, in this condition I would see your car at a show but not photograph it...there isn't anything to really make it stand out from the 55 year old mans 528i. Sorry, I don't want to sound like a dick but it's got no pop, no pizazz.

                wait wait wait

so youre saying that have a stanced e60 with nice DPE wheels sitting on JIC coilovers with Seibon CF parts and RPI exhaust has no pop? no pizaz?

mmmk well apparently ive got no business in this stance game, because everytime i see a featured car its a stock body with cheap ass rota wheels that are super wide and thats good enough but apparently my car isnt

i have sent pm's and posted threads in many of the stance sites, but aside from that the gripe is that the same type cars with the same type stances are constantly getting exposure

Such is life. People like driving nice cars. So in turn, said nice cars receive proper stance, whereas less appealing cars collect dust. I recently bought a Mazdaspeed Miata. Stanced Miata's are a dime a dozen.....but I could care less that i'm "following the crowd" because in the end i'll be happy with my car, and that's all that matters.

That is a hott not stock and every day looking E60...I'm sorry, like I said not trying to say your car sucks or anything but it needs more. Your car is really not, just not amazing.

Not trying to be a dick, but he's right. Other than your ride height and fitment, the car looks stock. Yes, you have legit CF parts, we know, but they look completely stock other than the fact that it is actually made of cf. The look completely stock, the hood doesn't have any vents or scoops.. the trunk doesn't have any time of spoiler on it. They don't stand out in any other way besides the material it's made out of.
And i don't know what feature cars you are looking at because i always see a car that is pushing the envelope in some way. These guys spend any amount of time and money doing what it takes to make their car sick, maybe you should do that too. You're car has serious potential and you need to recognize that and give it what it needs to be feature worthy, but honestly right now it looks like a black and blue e60.
just wheels and fitment=/= feature. creativity, time and devotion does.

                          Just my $0.02

Dobbins told me he was going to post your car on SW (he has an account for posting). Logging on and finding the photos posted to the forums kind of negates that.

The stance on your car is nice, and the reason it would have gone up is because its not something we see every day. But with that said, it's not a car that stands ahead of the pack.

If your E60 were mine I'd have steered clear of the CF and I would have done polished wheels of some sort. Contrast. it's almost always a good thing.

With that said, my favorite E60 (and yes, it looks more stock than yours... but there's something about it.)

Elegant. I like it, It's like this though, it's not how much you spend on parts it's what parts you buy to make your car stand out and be remembered. That's why Mike's E28 is still world known. He did something not too many people did. Basically stock body but the parts he bought enhanced lines and created a vibe and made that pizazz. It's about finding creative ways to be ahead of the pack, not how much you spent on your wheels and suspension.
