well shit i guess i shouldnt have gone the route of quality parts then, i dumped a lot of money into the car putting on parts that either few or nobody else had

i asked dobbins about that and he said it was up to you and thats what myself and my sponsors were waiting on

that e60 you posted Mike has terrible fitment on replica wheels, all he did was slam it on cheap coilovers and through on a mtech kit

but if thats what is apparently the right look then im all wrong

I think that car looks amazing. I'll be honest, I think you are one of these people who would go to a car show with a scrapbook of your receipts and think that will make everyone want to be your friend. Doesn't work like that.

        dude wtf

its not like that, i spent tons of time, research and worked with tons of people to get the first stanced e60, everybody said it couldnt be done and no wheel company wanted to make wheels to the specs i wanted

its not about how much i spent, it was about the rarity of the parts and how they worked with the car

stancing an e60 is very hard and very expensive and thats one of the major reasons you dont see more of them done

one guy followed HRE's advice for offsets and widths and got screwed with a sunk look, a $5000 mistake

like I said I don't want to sound like a dick but I am just going off of what I am reading. I don't know you and you don't know me. Rarity and expense are one factor to the equation. I would give way more props to someone who does something innovative for cheap than someone who spends big money on some parts that are expensive or rare.

yeah i can agree with that

perhaps i thought stancing an e60 would be a big deal in the stance scene but i guess i thought more highly of doing it than others

It's not that it's a bad thing. I really respect you for doing it, I think you have a really nice car and something if I had I would be VERY proud of. Which I am sure you are. Being first is nice, but it's all about one upping. Go out and try to one up yourself. Do some more mods, Mtech kit or some AC Schnitzer parts. Find some rare E60 parts to make the car look better. Don't think ok I have wheels and drop I am done. Keep going and be the first for more stuff on the E60 chassis.

I know I am always willing to help a fellow BMW owner, I have an E34. Keep going!

If you dig it, which you obviously do, then why do you care whether or not people gonuts over it? No one here said your car is uglyor anything, we (the people viewing your car) just don't see it as a car with 'pop.' Sure, I do understand wanting acceptance, but to build a car for the sole purpose of making it popular, seems wrong. Keep doing your own style on he car and continue to change it up. Maybe you will hit that 'just right' combo of style and class that will get noticed. Right now though, the 'style' part of the equasion is lacking.

i honestly dont care what you guys think of my car, this thread wasnt about that thought it turned that way

i can go to 3-4 stance websites and pull up features on s2000's that all look the same

                  that was my main point

i appreciate the feedback though as i was curious as to why it wasnt getting much feature wise

Just ironic because those cars are what people are doing radical things in the scene to. Do something radical to your E60 and it will be up there too. Just a coincidence since I think most people who can afford to do stance scene type of stuff to the car are younger and want a sporty car. So they go S2K, 350Z, E36 M3, ect. Plus a 350Z, S2k, E36 M3 are much cheaper fully stanced and feature worthy than a stock E60.

it is pretty ironic because a lot of these cars are simply wheels and a drop and they get featured so i find it funny because it takes no real creativity or effort on their part

they just copy and paste what somebody else did and apparently people go ape shit for that

i modded the e60 to my taste and flavor and i can appreciate what you guys are saying just consider a fully painted and installed mtech kit is just under 3k

i put my efforts into the drop, wheels and tires and how they fit before any bodykit

                          and what would that be?

i like seeing skylines stanced, vw's stanced and older cars like a cressida stanced

i think those types of cars with some stanced goodness is better than seeing another 350z or s2000

this thread wasnt about my car, it was about the blandness thats becoming the stance scene

Based on what the title is and this comment ^ it sound like you are upset that you personally have not been featured.

If you bought a car, spent a bunch of money, didn’t get featured, and now your upset then… you’re in it for the wrong reason.

I understand that you also say it’s the same cars you see but I also read that its more about you. (and your sponsors)

Sorry, not trying to be an ass. Im just going based on what I read.

                              I agree with 2.slowT

It just seems like you decided to dump a ton of money into a car that is already a ton of money and you would have a show winning featured car.

You gotta do it from the heart, not the wallet and don't expect anything from it. I am working on stancing a Kia. Yeah, a KIA. I don't expect features, sponsers, or anything. I'm doing it for myself, and for the sake of saying I did it.

                              The Kia has been parted.

ya iv always wanted to get feature too but never happened which is all good not gonna give up tho . i believe the thing is in order to be notice or feature your car has to be pushing the limit on fitment. Those cars are featured because not a lot of people are able to achieve that kind of fitments(being able to fit aggressive wheel or slammed), on the other hand you seem to be the one who is just lowered on some wheels no offense tho.
