I get judged a lot and have been told that I am terrorist/afghan/Muslim supremest and what not and I am Indian..I am white as it comes when it comes to an Indian but still.... sad is I cant do anything cause if I do rebel, I will be judged no matter what.

It's pretty crazy how bad the stereotypes are against anyone who appears to be of middle eastern descent. You should have seen the look on the census woman's face when she came to my friends house to ask about who all lived there, and they said their room mate was Jordanian.

Yeah I get stereotyped pretty regularly. I'm 20 yrs old, white, and drive an E46, so that automatically makes me a preppy rich kid who listens to John Mayer and the Jonas Brothers. Even though its not like normal E46's(plaid headliner, slammed, poke, zip-tied bumper/lip that also has been signed and grafitied all over it ) but I don't let it bother me. I like to see people faces when they hear me listining to screaming/metal it gives me a laugh.

This except im puertorican 26 but look like im 19 and own several BMWs and live in a nice gated neighborhood so that automatically makes me a drug dealer, and I live in PR go figure

Not nearly as badass as you people seem to be, but I get odd looks too. Black slammed loud car with shiny wheels speeding and sliding all over the place then I get out, slightly overweight white kid with fuzzy hair, listening to the B-52's or the Talking Heads wearing my souvenir tshirt and a pair of jeans.

I used to have long hair though, and people would always think I was a stoner. Cut my hair real short and haven't had a single person ask me for weed since. Stereotypes suck but if you don't let them bother you then what's to worry about. Just live your life.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I **** telling people I own/like BMWs.

A) It sounds lame as fuck to most people who have no ideas that BMWs have a following. They think it just sounds like "oh I like fancy cars".

B) I **** saying I drive one, let alone own several.

Mike i know exactly what u mean. People ask me what i drive daily and i say a range rover. they always go oh big money.

You get inked/piercings/adorn yourself however you wish in order to make a statement, you get attention one way or another.
A fair proportion of the time its going to be attention you don't want, well...hey...you made the call.


It certainly does suck to be accused of anything you didn't do, regardless. Hopefully, if you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear.

Telling people I have a Jetta usually just makes them think I drive a crappy chick car so I say VW now, not that it sounds any more respectable to those who don't do the car scene lol

try telling them you have a passat. i just say vw, but they always follow up with which one.
