Yes, you've done some of the homework, but you seem to have overlooked the fact that adding drop to the hitch reduces it's tow rating b/c it exerts more leverage on the trucks frame/mounting points. The best 8 inch drop i could find dropped the trucks rating from 12k to 10k I don't want to imagine what 24" of drop would drop it to. You might be able to to a jet ski but you certainly won't want ot tow a 33" boat that weighs over 12k . You need to be looking at a stock or close to it 3/4 or 1 ton truck with a diesel and a tow package/brake controller and leave it be. Every modification simply reduces it's towing capacity and you're already at capacity as far as that goes. On top of that if you haven't had much experience towing large trailers before you don't want to try to learn on a triple axle 40 ft. trailer.

I knew that the drop hitch lowered the tow rating but not buy that much....damn. Thanks man. I have had plenty of experience towing large trailers(being in the army we get to drive/tow all kinds of big shit) so thats not the problem. Well looks like its back to the drawing board or ill just hold off on getting the boat as the truck will mostly be used to tow motorcycles, cars, fourwheelers, ect....guess I dont really NEED a boat right now anyway(at least thats what the wifeys been telling me).

Yeah, most stuff like jetskis, a small ski boat, motorcycles, would be fine with a large drop bar, but big loads like a large boat or Airstream, or heavy equipment such as a frontloader will not only damage the truck but could end up damaging an expensive load.

yeah a buddy of mine has an 05 Silvarado 2500Hd and its the sickest truck ive ever seen. engine is modified beyond belief, its got around 700hp and 1200tq at the wheels. outside hes got a 6" lift and 35" tires its not as crazy high as you said you want but it fits the truck so nicely. and even with the hight and tires it still runs 11's on the track

there was a dodge ram dually running around here with a rumored 1400hp. I saw it run a c6 z06 with a built motor and a 300 shot of nitrous and they were neck and neck. The dually had 14in wide slicks and spun them at 90mph. Those cummins are no fucking joke.

This is easy.... slam the truck on bags vs. lift the truck..... towing problems solved ... no need for drop hitch any longer

Instead of a cigarette boat, get a Malibu WakeSetter VLX. Kick-ass sound system and your done.. wayyy more room for your wife's girlfriends as well.

There, I just saved you a silly amount of money, have you riding around in just as much style and have increased your boat seating capacity by at least double for more women.

My consultanting fee is 5%. I'll PM you with paypal info.
