And I've never been on Skyline Drive (East side of the valley), I always see the valley from the West/center. My dad grew up in Harrisonburg and says Skyline Drive is incredible, I can't wait!!

Ill be at nashville IA bc ill be home for summer!
ky has some scenery in the lexington area with lots of pastures and really nice barns that house race horses, cincinatti is a pretty cool city, esp the UC campus (i almost went there), but i havent been any further north that cleveland so idk what else is up there....

thats a nice little road trip comin down from all the way up there...should be fun!

Your dad is correct. You're really going to enjoy it. I recommend making frequent stops at the overlooks, especially on a clear day. I always have to get my fix of the scenery so that I'm not tempted to look at it when I'm driving....Another thing that's great about it is that like 75% of the time, you see some SWEET cars and bikes up there. Definitely have a camera handy for the trip.

I JUST made a thread on HD video/still camera suggestions haha. The Canon HF-20 looks promising right now.I really can't wait for this trip, it's going to be awesome. I have to focus on finals now though, FML.

Any more TN->NY suggestions? I've got NY->TN pretty much covered.

I took back roads from Rehoboth DE to Lancaster PA once or twice.

Im talking all back roads. That was pretty freaking amazing, especially once I got closer to MD. Took 7 hours to complete a 3 hour drive if I had gone the usual route.
