My friend ran like this for a month not only did he get several tickets, but after like 20 minutes on the first day it was so annoying to even be in the car, you can't hear yourself think. I also dont think it sounds that great..

Unless it's a V8 or straight six...... No sir, I'll pass.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Open headers on the 240 for a run to the parts store and back it almost got me pulled over, rattled my seats alot and hurt, vibrated the bolts out of my steering wheel, and just all over pissed people off.

              I loved it

It depends on the engine really. If you're running open headers, you can't really bitch about the decibel level. It's expected...and why it's been illegal for so long lol.

                In general, RB's, SRs's, and V8's I like though.

I built a small block with a 550 lift cam, thing was chunky, ran it for a week open headers, pop it into neutral and rev it real quick and pedestrians shit... its amazing fun. After awhile you either get tired of it or get used to it.

Oh... and it sounds like shit on all 4 cylinder engines.

If it hurts your chest when running on idle: it's not fun.
I got my Malibu so loud last summer that when you tried to speak in it, the words just dissappeared in your mouth. I had to use ear protection while doing full throttle testing.

That was fucking awesome, I'm thinking about doing 3" exhaust with full lenght headers next summer!

i ran open dp.... the whole interior would rattle at about 3k rpms. The turbo muffled most of the sound during normal driving, but the second you got onto the gas, forget it, you could hear that shit for blocks.

scared the living piss out of people, and it was fun setting off car alarms. I wasnt a fan of the sound though, it was loud, but not nice to listen to

The only experience I have with open headers, is on my friend's 07 Mustang GT. It was LOUD, but sounded great.

I wouldn't run them though. They were deafening, and that was from 100 yards away.
