Thank God for this thread. I've got a 06' GT and I've been mulling over which wheels for the last year. This kind of stuff just isn't big in the Mustang world. Half the guys out there won't put it on their car if it doesn't say Rousch, Shelby, or Saleen on it. Then there's a lot of import ****, which doesn't help. Anywho, I'm torn between some Work Meisters or the TE37's. Gonna crunch some numbers and make a decision. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

P.S.- How the hells do you buy Works, anyways?

P.P.S- Can I not write the word h a t e on these forums? xD

Get you a nice bright Red paint job and some adjustable trac shocks with some trac bars(not wheelie bars for those who don't know) and it will look like it would belong right there in that moment...
Thanks for the kind words -your imagination went the right direction. late 70s/early 80s "street freak" movement is where I got most of my inspiration. Someday I may get my Cragar SS or a set of Keystone mags, but 'till then I'm glad the vw boys made it cool to rock cheapo truck wheels.

RE paint, the color is what brought me to the car, it's a 1yr only color. Aside from the trim holes needing to be patched up, the paint's in pretty good condition for the age (16yo).
trac bars (or slappers) would be cool, but this car has conventional springs, not buggy springs (like the muscle cars had that used the slappers).

Sounds like you'd be with me on my current daydream of ditching the hood and throwing on a tunnel ram intake w/ a pair of carbs.

As for the bulge, the reason why I assume he is going for that look, back in those days it was pretty pricey for aftermarket wheels(it was before knockoffs thrived) and the guys who worked on their own cars(shade tree mechanics) just said eff getting new wheels and would just put big rubber on their stockies. This was what my father told me, he had a 1972 Vega with a 350 running 7.8's in the 1/8 mile running stock wheels with over sized rubber. He also had a 1969 Pinto he was trying to squeeze a 427 Cobra Jet in but I came along and botched that plan......lmao! Now he is a sensible older man who buys what my mom tells him to buy, but he lives out his glory days with me when I work on mine.

My buddy Jon has an 03 Terminator Cobra that he is working on the stance right now. I am over in Afghanistan and he isn't done with the setup but once I get back I will get some pics up in this thread. Then I'll hold him at gun point to register and make an intro thread.....lol he's trying to keep it a secret.
