yea I got a good quote for a 2TB WD external, with UPS 24-48hr delivery and a 1yr warranty for 83 euro. so will 99% go for that, unless I find out that 2TB's are more prone to failure and/or death.

I would normally say that, but I hear they've been having QA problems lately.
I guess they are still the best, but just do your research as it seems it is only an issue with some of their models.
