honestly the motors, seats, brakes, wheels, and suspension don't matter
that would all get swapped out anyways

If I ever earn enough to get a proper project I know it'll be a car from 70s-80s era, and it would get a complete overhaul, aside from the interior (unless its really shitty, which it probably will be by then) - but at the same time I'd try to keep it looking stock outside (apart from ride height and wheels and tiny details) - just so people have to look twice to go 'oh, that thing has had a lot of work done on it.. and nicely.'
