i started drifting my 180 when it was full stock
the only power mods i have atm on the car is an ARC sidemount intercooler and a 3" exhaust, i didn't even raise the boostDrinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

Oh I know you don't need power to drift. I was just comparing high speed drifts. If I wanted to do high speed drifts, I wanna be able to feather the throttle while holding the drift (turbocharged cars) rather than full throttle and no torque (stock ae86 lol).
Gymkhana is just the route I'm taking, since I can have the reliability from a stock engine and be able to practice with low speed control.
Are there Gymkhana events over there?

yeah i've done about 9 gymkhana events in the 180
it was good to learn the car and how it behaves when i first got it, but after a few events i started to muck around trying to slide the course and make smoke
i'm nowhere as good as the guys i went to these gymkhanas with, some can link the whole course which i find hard on the skidpan surfaceDrinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

That's cool. I've never attended an actual sanctioned event. But back when a cousin of mine had his S13 fastback, we'd go over to this parking area for the docks over a levee. Perfect open area for practice, and it's over the levee so it kinda muffles the revs and skids lol. There are sooo many tread marks down there, it's ridiculous. Anyway, we'd take cones that we've collected over time and put them down on these spray painted spots so we know where to put the cones each time. We'd have a good 20-30min session, then leave.Originally posted by 180roman View Postyeah i've done about 9 gymkhana events in the 180

Now a days, with my AE86, I need to rebuild the motor since I have low compression across the board. I do that and pass smog, then i can get back in that game again.
Those are all badass cars. Which Cressida? Boxy one right? Sorry idk the chassis code lol...Originally posted by Neil View PostWhat do you guys think?

cressida
or R31?
The KE70 though, that's my favorite classic import and would trade my Corolla for a non-running one. I'm hoping to restore and build one of those some day. Quad headlight version.

I am really broke with far too many ideas.
