I just find it weird (and terrible) that this stuff kills so many people in the US, but when that shit hit QLD there were almost no deaths. And you can't really say population because it hit the main city in QLD. Something's gotta be up. Katrina too. Yasi was like 2 or 3 times bigger than Katrina iirc. I just don't get it.Originally posted by Kielan View PostGoogle dawg.
Not much, tornadoes aren't easy to give a ton of prep time for, they happen pretty damn quick.

they just said severe storms, but we have never had tornados in the areas that got hit before. it was crazy in a matter a few minutes it would be calm and not a bit of wind and the next it was fucking going crazy, then it would stop and then hit again.Originally posted by eskimopunk View PostHow much warning did people have? Anyone know?

I'm not sure if you have seen what these places look like, but its not like the tornado is ripping through brick/concrete buildings, its small cheap structures. And Katrina, not many people evacuated, and when the levies let go, that's when everything went to shit. I won't go on in here, but if you did some research into it, you'd see.
Oh and in Katrina many more lives could have been saved if relief had come say 5 days earlier than it did....- Kielan (Key-lin)

a majority of the tornados came anywhere between 1am-4am and it was really hard to see, but i mean warning or not its a 50/50 chance whether you live or not when its hits your house.Originally posted by eskimopunk View Post^ Dayum

So then why are there so many deaths? Or are you saying that about Yasi?Originally posted by Kielan View PostI'm not sure if you have seen what these places look like, but its not like the tornado is ripping through brick/concrete buildings, its small cheap structures.
