Because they (sony) sued a guy for hacking a ps3 and putting up the details on his site. He basically allowed the PS3 to have features it had out of the box, before all of Sony's restrictive patches.

Anonymous threatened them, telling them to back down from the guy. Sony didn't. Anonymous fucked them over, but didn't intend on fucking with PSN.
