Yeh. Europe had higher prices in '05 than we do now. The US has it easy. But still, it's what you're used to, and when that dramatically changes it's pretty hard.

Yeah but we don't have a completely corrupt dictatorship where our leaders just do whatever the fuck they want. And VZ doesn't use anywhere near the amount of oil we do. I mean if you want to trade standards of living, we can, but I don't think that's worth paying $0.12 a gallon.

Its only slightly corrupt.

And public transportation = more taxes = people bitch. So... Either you can raise taxes get public transport, and pay dramatically less a year in tax hikes than what filling up each week costs, or you can bitch about not having public transport, and still have low taxes and pay a fuck load for gas.
