I have 2 grand saved right now, sell the car (even in its current state with stock suspension I could get 3 grand for it), so that puts me at 5 grand I work 3 weeks, I'm up to a 6 grand... That is more than enough to get me into one.

wait til you get some money together from work. then bring it up again. parents just (dont understand) think that you are dumb cuase youre a kid still. they think they are "looking out for you" show them you mean business. get money, go look at cars on your own, get print outs and all sorts of info on the cars youre looking at.
