Well I mean last year they were "dry" but no one really gave a shit, but now they have cracked down big time on freshman drinking, and the IFC is freaking nuts about it. If they catch freshman drinking at frats the frats get seriously fucked over.

this. i don't see any appeal to a frat at all, but i can see why they're so popular at big schools, with 30,000+ students. it must be close to impossible to meet the cool people when that many kids around.

i lucked out freshman year and had the ten most kickass people in the world live in my hall. make friends with other people in the dorms, it really pays off
