I am doing an ls1 swap into an 87 xj12 this summer and need to build a stand alone harness. How hard is it? I couldnt gather a ton of info besides send it somewhere

My friend says its stupid easy.
The OEM ECU's are fully flashable and you can do wtf you want.

I've done shit for wiring or research for that matter as I have several good friends who are light years ahead of me on that shit.

For LSx, I would stay stock ECU. They're quite programmable/flashable like Duder said.

I do plan on doing so. But in order to do the swap without bringing in the extra fuseboxes and what not I want to make it standalone from the vehicle.

Get the LSx loom and strip it down of all the unnecessary stuff, than make a standalone fusebox for the engine
