I talking about wheel lips. This guy actually just did this method on the same wheels I am going to attempt. Pictures showed them to be very clean and shiny. Not sure of any small imperfections that can't be seen by photography.

Kelly, I doubt you have the arm strength or stamina to hand polish a wheel start to finish.

I sure as shit don't. Which is why I'm using a buffer, with a light scuff wool pad. Then finishing by hand.

You're a fuck. I did 3 of my buddies lips. Polishing a full wheel would fucking suck ass. But those 3 lips in a day and half. Was not fun either.

it's easy, just a fucking terrible experience. i will never polish anything again. if it needs more than buffing compounds and polish, i'll have it chromed or pay someone to do it.

yeah...but not just hitting it with rouges and shit. i'm talking about sanding from like 4-600 grit up to 2000 grit or more, then using rouges and polish.

If you don't sand them smooth, they'll be fucked after a very short period of time driving, because dirt and brake dust will get in the grooves of the metal.

I'll be doing a few coats of it. Along with going with ceramic pads to minimize the brake dust.
