IIRC the transmission is more stout than previous years and the motor is a slightly better design. I'd probably just do bolt ons and a reflash shooting for 280whp and lots of suspension shit for corners.

You're right the transmissions are much better than previous models, and with full exhaust, intake and a remap you should be close to your numbers. If it was me I'd upgrade the TMIC to something better.
