Anyone know any good video cams I can buy? I want to toy with videos but have zero idea about the hardware.

How much do you want to spend? Will this thing get tossed around?

I want something entry level, I'm no videographer and wouldn't know why to do with the extra options anyway. I guess it will get tossed around some, but not much. I'm pretty good with keeping shot in one piece.

I asked a dude and he said go pros were the jam for what I'm looking to do but I have no clue

You can find a decently priced t2i. I wasn't sure if he was trying to go a cheaper route or not. GoPro's are okay if you know how to utilize all the features. They are cheap and VERY versatile. I have heard good reviews on the Sony Action Cam.

The highest tier of GoPro now shoots in 4K resolution. That's insane, considering a RED Epic is, like, $10,000.

1080p at 60 fps isn't exactly something to ignore, either. Great potential for only $400.
