While it is smart in the short-term, the long-term result may not be so good. They can't sustain a lead in the smartphone/tablet realm with Windows making a valid effort to bring people in, as well as Android continuing innovation. The problem with Apple is that Tim Cook is not Steve Jobs. While Jobs may have been a tool, he was an innovative tool.
