you can get an idea of what kind of loan you qualify for based on your credit score. is it at least 750?

He could just have his parents cosign assuming their credit is in good shape, it's what I did when I got my Z4, which I still regret. The massive insurance payment per month plus a car payment sucked being young without super consistent income.

This is what I'm doing, and the car will be registered under their name and on their insurance. And since it's not a vert I'm sure that will help the cost go down.

My parents are fine with it, they both agreed it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I did a similar thing back when I got my Prelude- my parents co-signed for me. It took me almost 2 years to pay back the $2k I loaned, mostly because I spent all of my income on parts for the stupid thing. I regret it to some degree.

I don't think I'd need much to be happy with it, I have wheels, just need a drop (race springs get them to a good height), and down the road tune and exhaust.
