I got extremely lucky with my car. I wasn't even looking for it when I found it. It's funny, I know the guy who was going to look at it after me- he was willing to pay the full asking price if I passed on it the day I went to go test drive it.

Are you looking for a coupe or a sedan? I would think sedan, as they make for 100x better daily's.

What have you done to the M so far?

I haven't physically done a lot besides clean it up and look it over really.

I wetsanded/polished the headlights, treated all the leather in the car with good leather treatment, shampooed the carpets, cleaned everything with a toothbrush. As far as mechanical stuff goes, I cleaned up all the hardlines underneath and coated them with POR15, checked all the filters on the car (minus the oil), checked all the fluid levels, looked at all the bushings and made a list of things I want to replace, and did a ton of research on common things that go bad.

Next year all the big stuff will happen.

I actually like those things, even squared. They're so quirky and ugly, but that's what makes them cool.
