At least it made it back in one piece this time. So, I guess that's progress?

But seriously, that fuckin sucks. You can try and file a police report and hope that there are cameras around your car, but the likelihood of catching somebody is slim to nil, unless they're a terrible criminal.

Your best bet is to get it resprayed via a comprehensive claim on your insurance (at least I think keying is comprehensive, it sure doesn't make sense to be counted in collision), and all you'll have to pay is the deductible. And a little extra on your monthly premium, depending on the company you're using.

Just found a Nikon Speedlight SB-600 at work. OJ's spending some of his spare time cleaning up all the contacts for me, and once it's good to go I'll finally be able to start experimenting with artificial lighting.

First thing I'm going to teach myself: Pitch black photography. Dark as fuck room, set to 30-second exposure, run around with the flash and hit the subject from a couple different angles. It'll at least give me an idea of angling the light and finding the right strength of flash to use.

Photography fun begins this week!
